Camp – 20, At The Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Basai, Gurugram, July 10, 2024

Objective:
The HCW Foundation organized a free medical health camp at Government Sr. Secondary School, Basai with the primary objective of providing essential healthcare services to the local community, especially focusing on the students. The aim was to address common health issues, promote health awareness, and ensure access to medical consultation and most important for student life we had organized a life skills program also to help students for building their communication skills, moral value.


Activities Undertaken:

  1. Medical Consultation:
  • Qualified doctors and medical staff from HCW Foundation conducted comprehensive medical
    consultations for attendees.
  • Patients were examined for health concerns such as general check-ups.

2. Health Screenings:

  • Dental check-ups and eye screenings were also provided to identify any issues needing further
    attention.

3. Health Education and Life skill training:

  • Health professionals delivered educational sessions on topic including life skill program.
  • Importance of moral education, time value, communication skill, postures and gestures, etc.

4. Distribution of Medicines:

  • Essential medications and vitamins were distributed free of charge to the students diagnosed with
    specific health conditions.
  • Instructions on proper medication usage and potential side effects were provided to ensure effective
    treatment.

5. Health Education and Life skill training:

  • Counsellors were available to provide emotional support and guidance on mental health issues.
  • Educational sessions on stress management and coping strategies were conducted for students and
    teachers

6. Follow-up Recommendations:

  • Students requiring further medical attention or specialized care were referred to nearby healthcare
    facilities or clinics.
  • Follow-up appointments and treatment plans were discussed and arranged for ongoing health
    management.

Outcome: The free medical health camp organized by HCW Foundation at Government School, Basai, successfully catered to the healthcare needs of approximately 300 individuals from the students. The event not only provided immediate medical relief but also promoted health awareness and encouraged proactive healthcare practices among attendees. By addressing both physical and mental health aspects, the camp aimed to contribute towards the overall well-being of the community.


Conclusion: The HCW Foundation remains committed to its mission of extending healthcare services to underserved communities. The success of this health camp underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in improving public health outcomes and fostering a healthier community.
