The HCW Foundation, in collaboration with SMM Foundation, organized a free medical health check-up camp in the rural village of NAHARPUR KASAN. This initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap by providing essential medical services to villagers who often face barriers to healthcare access due to economic, geographic, and infrastructural challenges.

Objectives of the Camp:

  • Provide free and accessible health check-ups for villagers.
  • Address and diagnose common health issues such as malnutrition, respiratory diseases, hypertension, and diabetes.
  • Distribute medicines and health supplements to those in need.
  • Offer specialized services including maternal health, geriatric care, and chronic disease management.
  • Educate the villagers on preventive health measures, hygiene, and nutrition.

Medical Services Provided:

The camp offered a broad range of services, including:

  • General Health Check-ups: Primary examinations included vital sign monitoring (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), along with screening for diseases such as anaemia, diabetes, and hypertension.
  • Eye Care and Dental Check-ups: Ophthalmologists and dentists conducted screenings and basic treatments. Reading glasses and dental hygiene kits were distributed where necessary.

Participation and Outcomes:

  • Number of Villagers Served: Approximately hundred villagers participated in the camp, with diverse age groups from children to the elderly receiving medical care.
  • Health Issues Identified: A significant number of cases of malnutrition, respiratory infections, and lifestyle diseases like hypertension and diabetes were diagnosed. Some critical cases were referred to nearby healthcare centers for further treatment.
  • Medications Distributed: Free medicines, including antibiotics, vitamins, and antihypertensives, were dispensed based on doctors’ prescriptions.

Conclusion:

The free medical health check-up camp co-organized by HCW Foundation and SMM Foundation was a major success, delivering critical healthcare services to an underserved rural population. The camp not only addressed immediate health needs but also emphasized preventive care and sustainable health practices.
