The HCW Foundation, an NGO dedicated to health and community welfare, organized a free medical health camp at the Government Girls School. This camp aimed to address the healthcare needs of students and the surrounding community, particularly for those who may not have easy access to medical services.

Objectives of the Camp

  • Provide free medical check-ups for students and staff.
  • Raise awareness about general health, hygiene, and preventive care.
  • Identify potential health issues for timely interventions.
  • Distribute free medicines and health kits.
  • Offer personalized consultation and guidance.

The camp offered a variety of health services, including:

  • General Health Check-ups: Basic health screening including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight measurements.
  • Dental Check-ups: Dentists conducted oral examinations and provided guidance on dental hygiene.
  • Distribution of Medicines: Free medicines were provided based on prescriptions during the check-up.

Outcomes:

  • Health Screenings: Approx 150+ students and community members were screened for various health issues. Some students were identified with health concerns like dental problems, and anaemia, and were referred for further treatment.
  • Awareness Raised: Students and community members gained valuable knowledge about personal hygiene, preventive health measures, and nutrition.
  • Positive Feedback: Both the school authorities and community members appreciated the efforts of the HCW Foundation in providing much-needed medical care and awareness.

The free medical health camp organized by HCW Foundation was a success, providing essential medical services and health education to students, teachers, and the local community. The initiative was well-received, and there is potential for more such camps to be organized in the future to promote a healthier community.
